Katrin describes her work as an 'overload of pattern'. Their surfaces bustle with an abundance of spots, lines, dots and stripes, colours and shapes reminiscent of 1950's and 60's table ware.
Katrin throws and casts, always hand-finishing, her work in deep brown earthenware clay quarried in Stoke. Colour and decoration is applied in clay-slip coloured using oxides.
The real beauty of her work is that her designs can be mixed and matched her work is about "pleasure and enjoyment and its affordable too."
